Reporting to the National Sales Director and in collaboration with the Canada & United States sales team, Demand Planning and Finance teams, the Commercial Analyst will be responsible to create and lead activities surrounding the analysis of sales data, market trends and customer data in order to provide information for strategic decision-making, develop financial models and forecasts, and prepare reports for management. Responsibilities also include working with sales and marketing teams, monitoring competitors, evaluating the profitability of initiatives, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Perform analysis and production of opportunity reports to support the sales team in business development
Perform analysis and reporting of sales vs. budgets for the sales team
Create and communicate a weekly sales dashboard and lead presentation during bi weekly sales meeting
Validation of promotions in the internal system to ensure that promotions are executed as expected
Create essential documents for budget planning
Maintain the by customer promotional plan calendars for the Canada and USA sales team, identifying overlaps and opportunities with account leads
Share information with internal teams related to the forecasting, listing and removal of products from customers
Support deduction management with the sales team
Create annual event calendar for the commercial team
Support the RGM and Marketing teams in their analytics needs
Lead communications with our broker partners in Canada
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree (Business Administration) or any other field of study deemed relevant to the role
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
Bilingualism essential both orally and in writing (French and English) to communicate easily with our colleagues and clients
Have a strong interest in data analytics
Rigorous self starter with the ability to work autonomously on day to day tasks, as well as team member on required cross functional team projects
Proficiency in the Office suite (advanced Excel level)
Experience in the development of analysis tools (Excel, Power BI an asset)
Sense of organization, priority management and initiative
Fluency in English is essential given our North American scope
French is an important asset as the role is based in Quebec.
