As a Finance Commercial Analyst at Flight Centre Travel Group, you’ll play a key role in supporting strategic decision‑making, improving profitability, and uncovering opportunities that drive value across our business. This role is best suited to someone coming from a financial or commercial accounting background who wants to continue progressing, rather than someone whose experience is primarily in data analytics.
Job Responsibility:
Support commercial decisions that improve profit performance and return on investment
Build and enhance reporting frameworks that align with business needs and drive continuous improvement
Develop commercial models, financial scenarios, and value‑add insights for key initiatives
Deliver monthly performance reporting, KPI tracking, and cash‑flow analysis
Monitor contract performance and store network investment reporting
Provide ad‑hoc commercial support including risk identification, data extraction, analytics, and value‑add project work
Leverage AI tools to streamline reporting, automate repetitive analysis, and free up capacity for higher-value commercial work - actively contributing to how the role evolves as AI capability grows
Requirements:
3+ years’ experience in an analytical or reporting role
Strong commercial thinking and problem‑solving capability
Proficiency in Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools
A Bachelor of Business or relevant degree (Accounting or Finance)
Experience using Power Query/Data Brick and advanced Excel skills
High ownership, attention to detail, and strong storytelling/presentation skills
CPA/CA qualifications are highly regarded (or relevant finance and accounting experience)
Self‑motivation and initiative
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and perform under pressure
