Smurfit WestRock is looking for an ambitious Commercial Analyst to join our UK Integrated Division. This is a fantastic early‑career role designed to offer structured development, hands‑on commercial experience, and a clear progression pathway—ideally towards becoming a Commercial Manager within three years. Job Responsibility

  • Producing accurate pricing, quotations, and commercial analysis
  • Supporting tenders—local, national, multinational, and Pan‑European
  • Creating dashboards, gross profit analysis, and performance reports
  • Gathering and interpreting market intelligence, including paper market trends
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
  • Acting as a commercial “gatekeeper” to ensure work aligns with manufacturing capabilities

Requirements

  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator who can simplify complex information
  • Proficient in MS Excel and comfortable working with data
  • Ability to prioritise and work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to develop new skills
  • A natural problem solver who enjoys finding better, smarter ways of working
  • GCSE English & Maths (essential)
  • Minimum 2 A‑Levels (or equivalent) at Grade C or above

Nice to have

  • Experience with PowerBI or similar tools
  • Understanding of manufacturing, pricing, or commercial processes
  • A degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field (desirable)
