The opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Analyst Assistant to join the Club L London Finance Team, based in Trafford Park, Manchester. This role will support the Commercial Analyst with data preparation, modelling and reconciliations, ensuring accurate and efficient reporting for the wider business. You will prepare data for reporting packs and dashboards, with the opportunity to take increasing ownership over time. Working closely with the Commercial Analyst and Finance team, this role offers exposure to budgeting and wider finance processes, providing a strong development pathway into a future analyst position. Ideal for a graduate eager to build a career in commercial finance and data analysis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Commercial Analyst with data preparation and modelling, including building and maintaining Power Query flows and pivot models
  • Manage large datasets in Excel/Power BI, ensuring data is structured efficiently for reporting
  • Assist with reconciliations (e.g. sales, stock, returns, cash) and maintain accuracy of trackers and recurring reports
  • Prepare data and outputs for the Commercial Analyst to use in reporting packs and dashboards, with a view to gradually taking ownership of these over time
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests from commercial, finance and wider company

Requirements:

  • Graduate or early-career professional with an interest in finance and data analysis
  • strong skills in Microsoft Excel, particularly Power Query and Power Pivot
  • familiarity with Power BI also valuable
  • high attention to detail and comfortable working with large datasets
  • good communicator, able to work collaboratively and explain findings clearly
  • eager to learn and progress into a commercial/analytical role over time
