Job Description:

An opportunity to join a growing Tier 1 rail contractor on major UK rail projects. This is a commercial support role, supporting QS, Delivery and Finance teams to keep labour, plant, materials and subcontract costs controlled, accurate and paid on time. It’s hands-on, close to delivery and offers clear progression into QS / senior commercial roles.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting QS / SQS with cost control on live projects
  • Managing POs, GRNs, PODs and invoice queries
  • Tracking actual vs budget, accruals and commitments
  • Working with site teams to close out missing records
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Supporting weekly commercial reporting and reviews

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Cost Engineer, Cost Clerk or Commercial Administrator
  • Background in rail, civils or infrastructure (ideally)
  • Strong Excel skills (Power BI a bonus)
  • Organised, detail-driven and commercially aware
