Lawes Consulting Group is recruiting for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join a dynamic team servicing large commercial clients. The role involves managing commercial client portfolios, compliance, providing technical insurance advice, and supporting business opportunities alongside handling renewals, market submissions, and client records.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and retain a portfolio of existing commercial clients
Support new-business opportunities in collaboration with executives
Ensure compliance with FCA regulations in all broking activities
Provide technical insurance advice across Motor, Fleet, Property, Tradesmen-Liability and Cyber
Assist with the placement of premiums up to £800K
Liaise effectively with claims and account-executive teams
Handle renewals, mid-term-adjustments and new quotes
Prepare and present market submissions
Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Build strong client relationships through professional service delivery
Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Support the team in achieving KPIs and service-level standards
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler within the insurance industry
Strong knowledge of relevant commercial insurance products
Track record of managing high-value premiums and complex client needs
Experience working in a broker environment
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
Sound knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
Proficient in relevant insurance software and Microsoft Office suite
