The Combustion Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sustainable sales growth of combustion and safety monitoring solutions across the UK & Ireland. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, this role operates as an individual contributor with no people management responsibility and will be a mix of office-based, home-based and field activity as required. The position focuses primarily on Combustion & Safety Monitoring (CSM) products and applications, including ignition systems, flame monitoring, burner control and safety systems. While the role is combustion-led, there is a structured opportunity to develop knowledge and capability in emissions monitoring and process gas analysis over time.
Job Responsibility:
Developing and executing combustion-focused sales plans aligned to regional strategy
Identifying and developing opportunities within combustion, ignition, flame monitoring and safety systems
Providing technical-commercial sales support to end users, EPCs, OEMs and channel partners
Preparing and delivering proposals, presentations and value-based solutions
Supporting RFQs, tenders and specification-driven projects, influencing specifications where possible
Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts and sales reporting
Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments relevant to combustion and emissions
Representing the business professionally at customer meetings, site visits and industry events
Requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience
Experience in technical sales or application engineering within combustion, burner management or industrial safety systems
Solid understanding of combustion systems and safety monitoring principles
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical solutions to mixed technical and non-technical audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience using CRM systems for opportunity management, forecasting and reporting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Structured and organised approach to workload and pipeline management
High level of self-motivation and personal accountability in an individual contributor role
Effective time management and prioritisation skills
Collaborative working style, comfortable working with cross-functional and international teams
Professional, consultative and solution-oriented approach to customers
Willingness to travel within the assigned UK & Ireland territory
Nice to have:
Knowledge of emissions monitoring and/or process gas analysis
