ChristianaCare, a leading healthcare system in Delaware, is seeking an experienced Colorectal Surgeon to join our well-established team. This exciting opportunity offers a collaborative and innovative environment with a focus on advanced colorectal care, including robotic and minimally invasive surgery, in a state-of-the-art facility, including a new office specifically designed and built for colon and rectal surgery. This position offers the ideal opportunity to join a highly skilled and experienced team of 5 board certified colorectal surgeons; contribute to student education and surgical resident training and research through our ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency with 24/7 coverage by resident staff; practice 100% Colorectal Surgery position, no general surgery; have clinical practice in Newark and Wilmington and plans to expand to southern Delaware; utilize advanced technology: ChristianaCare uses the latest technology with Robotic surgery as well as Endoscopy and Anorectal procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Practice full spectrum of elective and emergent colorectal procedures and adhere to established hospital policies, procedures, objectives, QI initiatives and relevant protocols
  • Contribute to medical student, resident, and post-graduate teaching
  • Participate in Colorectal Surgery Call schedule as assigned (no general surgery)

Requirements:

  • BC/BE American Board of Surgery and American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery
  • Must have the ability to be licensed in the State of Delaware and meet credentialing requirements
  • Robotic and anorectal experience required
  • Prior experience preferred
  • IBD experience, Research/Teaching a plus
