Job Summary/Basic Functions: Duties include unloading, sorting, and shelving food donations, preparing food boxes, maintaining cleanliness, coordinating donation drives, managing inventory software, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Unload, sort, and shelve food donations
  • Prepare food boxes for clients, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety standards
  • Coordinate donation drives and pick-ups from local stores, farms, or food drives
  • Act as the contact for campus partners for donation drives
  • Manage inventory software, and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Sort, weigh, and inspect incoming food donations

Requirements:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes (often 30-60+ lbs)
  • Organization & Safety: Knowledge of food safety, expiration date checking, and sanitation protocols
  • Customer Service: Compassion when interacting with clients and volunteers
  • Must be able to pass a background check
