Job Responsibility:
Provide first response to incidents across the College site
Assist Managers or appropriate College staff to adopt a collaborative problem-solving approach to highlighted issues
Implement de-escalation techniques and restorative justice
Act as Safeguarding Officer for assigned cases (in liaison with the Safeguarding team)
Gather evidence in relation to incidents and disclosures as per the Safeguarding policy
Requirements:
GCSE maths and English Language, or equivalent, at grade 4/C or above
Level 3 qualification in relevant subject area, e.g. Coaching, Health and Social Care, Youth Work
Experience of working with young people (including 14–19-year-olds) and vulnerable adults and those with challenging behaviour
Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults including Prevent and the Equality Act 2010
