Plan, prepare, deliver and assess both practical and theoretical engineering sessions across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, including full-time and apprenticeship learners
Deliver engaging teaching and learning activities tailored to meet the needs of individual learners, programmes and the wider curriculum, while maintaining accurate attendance records and promoting positive learner behaviour
Set, mark and maintain accurate records of coursework and assessments in line with awarding body requirements
Conduct regular progress reviews (every 8–12 weeks) with apprentices and employers in the workplace, ensuring progress aligns with key milestones and agreed apprenticeship training plans
Maintain high expectations of learner performance, commitment and behaviour, taking appropriate action to uphold excellent standards
Contribute to the work of subject and programme teams, as well as relevant committees and boards, supporting the development and maintenance of high standards for programmes and key clients
Actively promote the Institute’s provision by attending open evenings, careers events, school visits and other marketing and engagement activities
Continuously evaluate and enhance the quality of teaching and learning through active participation in the College’s quality improvement, development and observation processes
Requirements
Industrial experience within the engineering sector
Level 3 or above professional Engineering qualification
Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above
