Collections Specialist

• Manage a portfolio of 400-550 commercial accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
• Communicate directly with clients through written and verbal updates regarding account status
• Conduct skip tracing to locate individuals and resolve outstanding claims
• Collaborate with legal counsel on cases requiring further action
• Participate in monthly departmental meetings and occasionally present updates
• Contribute to team projects, contests, and office initiatives as needed
• Engage in continuous skill development through training programs, seminars, and online courses
• Foster positive working relationships within the team and department
• Lead by example in work ethic and meeting performance standards
• Assist in reviewing and improving departmental processes alongside management for enhanced efficiency

• Previous experience in business-to-business (B2B) collections or related field
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction
• Proficiency in skip tracing methods and tools
• Ability to manage a high volume of accounts while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiarity with legal processes related to collections is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
