Collections Specialist

• Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely collections and prevent payment defaults
• Communicate with clients to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve outstanding balances
• Analyze account data and prepare accurate reports for internal tracking and decision-making
• Collaborate with the team to implement effective strategies for improving collections processes
• Handle billing inquiries and provide excellent customer service to address payment-related concerns
• Maintain detailed records of collection activities and update account information in the system
• Research and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts to ensure accurate billing
• Assist in identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement within the collections workflow
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations during all interactions
• Work proactively to meet and exceed collection targets while fostering positive client relationships

• Proven experience in consumer and commercial collections
• Strong understanding of credit and collections processes including billing and account reconciliation
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in data entry and account management systems
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in collections
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
