Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is responsible for managing outstanding account balances, maintaining accurate records, and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure prompt resolution of outstanding claims.

Job Responsibility:

Contact accounts to resolve outstanding claims quickly and accurately
Research, document, and track all collection activities
Follow established processes for account reviews and customer contacts
Partner with other departments to address unique or sensitive account issues
Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism in all communications
Respond to customer inquiries promptly to maintain service standards
Support the team in achieving individual and departmental targets
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of one year of credit and collections experience or one year of insurance claims experience preferred
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Access
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and telephone skills
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
