We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Entry-Level Collections Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for contacting customers regarding outstanding balances, maintaining accurate records, and helping resolve payment issues in a respectful and solutions-focused manner. Job Responsibility:
Contact customers via phone and email regarding past-due accounts
Maintain accurate documentation of collection efforts in the system
Set up payment plans and negotiate payment arrangements when appropriate
Research and resolve billing discrepancies
Monitor aging reports and follow up on delinquent accounts
Process payments and update account information
Escalate accounts as needed according to company procedures
Provide detail oriented and courteous customer service at all times
Requirements:
High school diploma required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
0–2 years of collections, customer service, or call center experience
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Comfortable making outbound calls
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice to have:
Experience in a high-volume call environment
Understanding of basic accounting concepts
Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
