We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will focus on managing business-to-business collections while utilizing advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to handle a high volume of accounts efficiently.
Job Responsibility:
Manage business-to-business collections for a portfolio averaging 286 accounts
Utilize Excel tools, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, to analyze and track collections data
Conduct virtual training sessions to onboard and guide team members as needed
Ensure timely follow-ups and resolutions for outstanding payments
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of collections activities and account statuses
Develop strategies to improve collection processes and reduce overdue accounts
Communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders to negotiate payment terms
Adhere to company policies and compliance standards in all collections activities
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in commercial or consumer collections
Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
Strong knowledge of credit and collection processes
Ability to manage a high volume of accounts efficiently and accurately
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities
Familiarity with virtual training methods and tools
Commitment to maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards
