Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess 2–3 years of professional experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related role and demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. This role is critical to ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments and maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Job Responsibility:

Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments while maintaining positive relationships with clients
Monitor overdue accounts, follow up with customers via phone, email, and written communication, and implement appropriate collection strategies
Document all collection efforts and maintain accurate records in financial systems and customer files
Address customer inquiries regarding invoices, disputes, and payment processes while offering viable solutions
Provide periodic reports on delinquent accounts, cash flow forecasts, and collection efforts to management
Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and local/state regulations governing debt collections

Requirements:

2–3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or related fields
Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP software
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong oral and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
High school diploma required
Associate degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred
