We are looking for a motivated Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in consumer collections and customer service. As part of the team, you will play a key role in managing autopay accounts and ensuring accurate financial records.
Job Responsibility:
Follow up on overdue autopay accounts to ensure timely resolution and payment
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving disputes professionally
Utilize Sage software to track account status and maintain detailed records
Collaborate with other departments to address discrepancies and improve collection processes
Monitor account trends and identify potential issues to proactively address them
Prepare and deliver reports on collection activities to management
Assist in improving workflows for more efficient collections processes
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies
Communicate effectively with clients to negotiate payment arrangements
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in consumer collections or a related role
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations
Proficiency in using Sage software for financial tracking and reporting
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards
Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues
