Job Description:

In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing and recovering outstanding payments while maintaining strong and effective relationships with clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in collections and billing processes within the hi-tech engineering industry.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the recovery of overdue payments, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up with clients
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date customer account records
Investigate and reconcile billing discrepancies, resolving client concerns and short payments effectively
Identify causes of delinquent accounts and develop strategic solutions to address them
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies governing debt collection practices
Coordinate with accounts receivable teams to streamline billing and collection cycles
Generate detailed reports on collection activities and present findings to management
Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring all interactions are handled courteously and respectfully
Stay informed about federal and state regulations related to debt collection

Requirements:

Proven track record in a Collections Specialist or related role
Strong knowledge of billing processes and effective collection techniques
Familiarity with debt collection regulations and laws
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with clients
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain organization under pressure
Keen attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records
High school diploma required
a bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration is a plus
