Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team in Marlboro, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in managing commercial collections, resolving disputes, and ensuring timely billing and payments. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with a growing company in the waste management industry.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and oversee commercial collections processes to ensure timely payments
resolve customer disputes efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism
collaborate with internal teams to address billing issues and discrepancies
utilize Microsoft Excel to track collections activities and prepare reports
provide excellent customer service when communicating with clients regarding payment inquiries
follow up with customers to recover outstanding balances and maintain accurate records
ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during the collections process
identify opportunities to improve collections strategies and implement effective solutions
maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly

Requirements:

Proven experience in commercial collections, preferably in a similar industry
strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and analysis
exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve disputes effectively
familiarity with billing and collections processes in a corporate environment
ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
knowledge of compliance standards and best practices for collections
ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
