Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Brisbane, California. In this role, you will manage various aspects of collections processes, ensuring efficient handling of accounts and accurate documentation. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle expense reports through Concur, ensuring proper documentation and accurate data entry
  • Review manually submitted reports for completeness and verify receipts and supporting documents
  • Support the Controller with company business-related insurance tasks, including documentation and updates
  • Prepare quarterly billing using provided templates and ensure timely submission
  • Assist with month-end close processes by reviewing checklists, following up on open items, and preparing recurring journal entries
  • Download and review general ledger codes for accuracy and reclassification where necessary
  • Process credit card payments efficiently and ensure proper record keeping
  • Manage weekly P-Card transmissions and resolve any discrepancies
  • Familiarize yourself with customer deposits and assist in maintaining accurate records
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned to support the accounting team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in collections processes, including commercial and consumer collections
  • Proficiency in Concur, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and percentages accurately
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dependable, punctual, and open to constructive feedback
