Robert Half is partnering with a leading law firm in search of an experienced Collections Manager to oversee and enhance the daily operations of its collections team. This role is ideal for a strategic and detail-oriented leader with a strong background in collections, property management, or real estate who thrives in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise the collections team to ensure timely handling of delinquent assessments and adherence to a 3-5 business day timeline
Provide property managers and associations with detailed updates on pending accounts and collections status
Prepare daily reports to monitor account statuses, assign tasks based on team strengths, and review completed work for accuracy
Deliver collection status reports to board members and property managers upon request
Attend association board meetings and trade shows as needed to discuss collection processes and represent the organization
Conduct title searches and review findings to support collection activities
Manage billing operations and coordinate between the accounting and collections departments
Oversee small claims litigation cases and ensure proper handling of legal procedures
Support the department by filling vacancies and stepping in where needed to maintain workflow
Evaluate current procedures and implement new strategies to improve department efficiency
Requirements:
At least seven years of collections experience with attention to detail, including managerial responsibilities, ideally within a law firm or services environment focused on detail-oriented tasks
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail
Strong knowledge of industry procedures, with prior experience in real estate, title companies, condominium associations, or property management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information accurately while maintaining confidentiality
Advanced mathematical skills for invoicing, payment application, and account reconciliations
Experience handling small claims litigation and familiarity with local, state, and federal e-filing processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and relevant collection software such as Ready Collect or similar systems
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Tungsten Power or comparable platforms is preferred
