Global Treasury supports the digital transformation journey of Microsoft's customers, partners, and vendors by providing credit and payment solutions to support revenue growth, while managing credit risk. As Collections Finance Manager, a key objective is to maximize protection of Microsoft's investments in Accounts Receivable (AR), while acting as a trusted advisor to the business and delivering key decision support, enabling profitable growth, and effectively managing the lifecycle of the dollar. Additionally, you will be accountable for accelerating cash flow and optimizing collections performance, as well as focusing on building solid relationships, driving adoption of solutions, and resolving escalations effectively.   • Address customer payment issues and leverage the Business Engagement team to assist
  • Project participation and/or leadership on initiatives, including AI projects that are necessary to enable our business processes to keep up with significant year-over-year growth
  • Empower vendors and suppliers globally and hold them accountable for process adherence and meeting Service Level Agreement commitments
  • Work with policy owners to drive program improvements and compliance, while driving forward changes and evolution of business processes to optimally support Treasury and Microsoft customer needs
  • Drive positive customer experience by understanding customer needs, supporting customer satisfaction initiatives, and addressing customer and stakeholder queries/escalations
  • Partners with teams across Microsoft, both internal and external to Treasury, on projects and initiatives to deliver optimal in class processes, reporting, Accounts Receivable performance, and a world class customer experience
  • Partner with key stakeholders and organizations within Microsoft to accomplish objectives of improved Collections, dispute resolution, risk mitigation, customer satisfaction, and decision support
  • Leverage Treasury's Business Process Outsourcer (BPO) to achieve agreed performance metrics
  • Support Audit, Tax, and Trade teams to ensure timely delivery of documentation requests related to Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other compliance requirements
  • Ensure strict adherence and understanding of Microsoft policies and hold BPOs accountable to the same strict standards
  • Drive compliance culture through actions and decisions to instill trust and advocate, educate, and promote optimal practices and new developments
  • Champion Microsoft privacy, security, and ethical standards

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience
