Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Collections Coordinator to join our team in Columbus, OH. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting customers who are facing payment challenges, helping them navigate their options and find solutions. This is a long-term contract position that requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work within a structured schedule.

Job Responsibility:

  • Reach out to customers who are behind on payments to understand their situation and assess next steps
  • Collaborate with customers to determine appropriate solutions, including transferring them to specialized groups or setting up payment plans
  • Follow a structured schedule with designated breaks and lunch periods to ensure consistent coverage
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to maintain positive client relationships
  • Utilize strong communication skills to explain options and address customer concerns effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and actions taken
  • Work closely with teams to ensure seamless transitions for customers requiring additional support
  • Apply problem-solving skills to develop tailored solutions for individual customer cases
  • Stay informed about company policies and procedures to provide accurate information
  • Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in all customer interactions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with customers
  • Ability to work within a rigid schedule, including assigned breaks and lunch periods
  • Proven ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Comfortable using technology and systems to manage customer information

Nice to have:

  • Experience in payment processing or related financial tasks is a plus
  • Familiarity with sales techniques such as door-to-door sales is advantageous
