We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in managing both commercial and consumer collections while ensuring accurate record-keeping and communication with clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, comfort with cold calling, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct outreach to clients for overdue payments through phone calls and emails
Manage commercial and consumer collection processes to ensure timely resolution
Maintain accurate and organized records of collections activities and payment statuses
Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and resolve client issues
Utilize Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports and track collections progress
Perform data entry tasks to update customer accounts and transaction records
Provide exceptional customer service while addressing payment concerns
Follow established credit and collections procedures to ensure compliance
Communicate effectively with clients to negotiate payment plans and terms
Monitor and analyze account balances to identify potential risks
Requirements:
Previous experience in collections or a related field is preferred but not required
Familiarity with commercial and consumer collections processes
Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging conversations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
Comfortable with cold calling and initiating contact with clients
Excellent organizational and data entry skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
