Job Description:

We are looking for a Collections Attorney to join our team in Pompano Beach, Florida. This role will involve handling a high volume of cases and representing financial institutions while ensuring compliance with legal regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and have a strong understanding of civil procedures. Florida Bar Association required, 2-3yrs experience.

Job Responsibility:

Manage a large caseload, focusing on collections matters for financial institutions
Ensure strict adherence to compliance regulations and legal standards
Conduct motion practices and negotiate settlements effectively
Represent clients in small claims cases, including bench trials
Prepare and review legal documents using case management and document management software
Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for case resolution
Provide updates and reports on case progress to clients and stakeholders
Utilize software tools such as Adobe Acrobat and Conveyancer for efficient legal documentation
Maintain professionalism while handling sensitive consumer and commercial collections cases
Stay informed on changes to civil litigation procedures and implement best practices

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in collections or civil litigation
Proficiency in case management software and document management tools
Familiarity with compliance regulations and consumer protection laws
Strong skills in motion practice and settlement negotiations
Experience handling small claims cases and bench trials
Ability to manage a high volume of cases while maintaining attention to detail
Competence in using software like Adobe Acrobat and Conveyancer for legal tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and legal documentation
