Our Coffee Maker is a key member of the Food & Beverage team, dedicated to delivering refined and memorable coffee experiences in line with the standards of a 5-star luxury hotel. This role supports the Restaurant Management team, especially the Breakfast Team, in ensuring the highest quality of coffee preparation and beverage service, while creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere for our guests. The Coffee Maker combines technical expertise, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality to elevate every moment—from breakfast service to afternoon tea and special events. The position requires passion for coffee culture, precision in preparation, and a strong commitment to excellence, cleanliness, and luxury service standards at all times.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte, specialty coffees) according to hotel standards and guest preferences
Ensure the correct calibration, cleaning, and daily maintenance of coffee machines and related equipment
Monitor coffee quality, grind settings, extraction times, and milk texturing to guarantee consistency and excellence
Provide knowledgeable recommendations and personalized service
Support breakfast, bar, restaurant, and event operations as required, ensuring smooth and efficient service flow
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, storage areas, and equipment at all times
Replenish supplies, monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other materials, and report shortages promptly
Collaborate closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless coordination during service
Handle management feedback with professionalism, resolving any concerns promptly and courteously
Comply with all hotel safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures, as well as local health regulations
Uphold the highest standards of grooming, uniform presentation, and professional conduct
Participate in training sessions and continuously develop knowledge of coffee origins, brewing techniques, and hospitality excellence
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Barista, Coffee Maker, or Caffettiere in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant or hotel is preferred
Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk frothing techniques, and specialty coffee preparation
Basic understanding of Food & Beverage operations and service standards
Good command of Italian and basic knowledge of english (additional languages are considered a plus)
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Service-oriented mindset with a genuine passion for hospitality
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced luxury environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
