This role supports a workplace coffee bar while delivering refreshment and hospitality services across the site, combining hands-on barista support with inventory management, stocking, and maintenance of coffee and pantry areas. Responsibilities include preparing and serving coffee beverages, providing friendly and efficient service during peak periods, supporting daily coffee bar operations, and maintaining a clean, organized, and well-presented service environment. Summary: The Refreshment Attendant serves as the onsite representative of American Food & Vending, responsible for ensuring an exceptional workplace hospitality experience through the execution of vending, micro market, pantry, beverage, and coffee programs. This role combines operational excellence with hospitality-focused service, ensuring all refreshment areas remain fully stocked, clean, organized, and aligned with service expectations. The Refreshment Attendant plays a key role in enhancing the overall employee experience while maintaining inventory, supporting program performance, and delivering consistent, high-quality service.
Job Responsibility
Stock fresh foods, snacks, and beverages in vending machines, micro markets, and pantry areas
Ensure all coffee stations and beverage equipment are clean, stocked, and fully operational
Maintain presentation standards across all refreshment and hospitality spaces
Rotate products and monitor freshness, quality, and expiration dates
Monitor inventory levels, usage trends, and consumption patterns
Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records
Submit supply and replenishment orders to maintain appropriate stock levels
Receive, organize, and properly store deliveries
Clean and organize vending, micro market, and pantry areas to maintain a safe and appealing environment
Follow all health, safety, and food handling regulations
Monitor and minimize waste, spoilage, and product loss
Ensure vending machines, coffee equipment, and kiosks are functioning properly
Report equipment or service issues promptly
Partner with route drivers, operations teams, and support staff to ensure service continuity
Deliver a welcoming and service-focused experience
Build positive relationships with clients, employees, and guests
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality, food service, vending, pantry service, or workplace services preferred
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Basic math skills and attention to detail for inventory tracking and ordering
Experience with inventory management or ordering processes preferred
Comfortable working in a client-facing environment
Ability to lift to 40 lbs., push/pull carts, and remain active for the duration of the shift
Valid driver’s license may be required based on site needs
Basic proficiency with mobile devices or reporting tools
