Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced and safety conscious Tank Coded Welders for ongoing opportunities in Kwinana, WA on a casual basis, with potential to turn into a permanent role for the right person.

Requirements

  • Australian recognised trade qualification Boilermaker/Welders
  • Experienced in structural, pipe and plate
  • Previous experience in Bulk Storage Tank construction and/or maintenance highly regarded
  • Construction induction card
  • Safe Work at Heights (valid within the last 2 years) - desirable
  • Confined space ticket (valid within the last 2 years) - desirable
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
  • The ability to work within a team
  • Be physically capable to complete manual tasks - the role may involve manual lifting, bending, squatting and kneeling
  • High safety and quality standards
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test - mandatory

Nice to have

  • Safe Work at Heights (valid within the last 2 years)
  • Confined space ticket (valid within the last 2 years)
  • Previous experience in Bulk Storage Tank construction and/or maintenance

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, and fabrication specifications
  • Undertake fabrication, cutting, prepping, grinding, and finishing work to required standards
  • Conduct weld repairs in line with procedures and client requirements
  • Ensure all welding is completed in compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and project specifications (e.g., BS EN ISO standards)
  • Complete all necessary weld logs, documentation, and traceability records accurately
  • Participate in welding tests, re-coding, and ongoing qualification renewals
  • Work in accordance with quality management systems and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Comply with company and site HSE requirements at all times
