Job Description:

Robert Half is working with a third-party administrator to fill a role that focuses on providing support to the Benefit Services department. Specifically, this role will work with members who are enrolled in COBRA.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurate data entry of new and renewing COBRA participants
  • Performs enrollment/eligibility audits for COBRA participants
  • Acts as a customer service contact for firms and employees, and responds and researches a high volume and variety of questions/issues to provide accurate and timely information regarding COBRA coverage and payments
  • Must be able to learn and understand insurance & benefit contracts and respond to customer service inquiries
  • May manage producer credentialing, demographics, and commissions
  • Works cooperatively with all department members on procedural changes with the Trust database to meet changing member needs
  • Provides support and backup for all Benefit Services department members

Requirements:

  • Must have experience with COBRA administration in a carrier or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) environment
  • Strong background in customer service and willingness to learn and understand COBRA benefits and payment information
  • Must have proven track record in meeting deadlines and high attention to detail
  • Strong data entry skills in terms of both speed and accuracy
  • Proficiency in PC applications including Windows, MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook and other proprietary software programs
  • Ability to use multi-line phone system, 10-key, postal meter, computer, printers, and other equipment as deemed necessary
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
