We are looking for a dedicated Coaching Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role focuses on providing short-term, impactful support to families enrolled in the Head Start program, empowering them to make informed decisions that enhance their lives. As part of this position, you will play a key role in family engagement, resource coordination, and advocacy, helping families navigate various services and transitions effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify family needs and recommend appropriate support services
Foster partnerships with community organizations to provide families with training and resources in areas like health, parenting, financial literacy, and conflict resolution
Coordinate emergency response efforts for families in crisis, ensuring they receive timely and effective support
Develop relationships with local agencies to connect families to job training, apprenticeship programs, and employment opportunities
Facilitate the recruitment and enrollment of eligible families into the Head Start program
Perform home visits to provide personalized support, follow up on referrals, and assist families in achieving their goals
Act as a case manager by linking families to essential resources and coordinating with service providers
Advocate for family needs by promoting community support and enhancing service accessibility
Assist families with transitions into and out of Early Head Start/Head Start programs and prepare them for Kindergarten
Handle additional responsibilities as required to support program success
Requirements:
Proven experience in family services, case management, or a similar role
Strong knowledge of community resources related to health, employment, and social services
Familiarity with systems such as ADP Workforce Now, HRMS, and Ceridian
Adept at conducting assessments and compiling actionable recommendations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with families and community organizations
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Background in customer service, benefit functions, and auditing is highly desirable
Experience with recruitment and enrollment processes in educational or social service programs
