Job Description:

The Sturm College of Law seeks to hire part-time (hourly, non-benefited) Coaches to advance the DU Bar Success Program through coaching, working with bar takers, law students, and recent graduates as they prepare for bar exams. This is an hourly, non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with and support the Program Director and Assistant Director
  • Meet routinely with students and graduates to coach through bar exam preparation
  • Track individual meetings, document bar studier learning progress, and other information relevant to bar coaching
  • If desired, proctor mock bar exams with a physical presence at the law school

Requirements:

  • A JD or equivalent legal degree
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and providing comments on word documents
  • Licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction

Nice to have:

  • Experience in higher education, teaching, instructional design, cognitive science, counseling, and affiliated fields
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado
