About the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, manufacture, and maintenance of Brisbane City Council’s fleet of coaches and buses. Key responsibilities include: Structural & Body Maintenance; Painting and General Refurbishment; Collaborating with Trade Assistants and Apprentices; Modifying Heavy Vehicles and Buses; Fabrication and Welding Tasks; Assembly According to Technical Specifications; Maintaining a Safe Working Area at All Times.

  • Manage daily scheduling for field carpenters in partnership with the Service Manager and distribute schedule changes through email as needed
  • Create and maintain job files
  • Collect, organize, and attach paperwork needed to support customer invoicing and internal recordkeeping
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance documentation, including workers’ compensation and liability insurance requirements, before work proceeds
