Precision starts here. Randstad Operational is currently seeking a dedicated CNC Machine Operator to join a premier production team in St. Thomas, Ontario. As a CNC Operator, you’ll be the engine behind the production flow, working a reliable schedule that respects your time outside of work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Machine Operation: Expertly set up and operate CNC machinery to cut, drill, and mill metal components
  • Technical Interpretation: Read and translate blueprints and industrial drawings into finished products
  • Quality Assurance: Use precision tools (calipers, micrometers, and gauges) to ensure 100% accuracy
  • Workplace Integrity: Maintain a clean, organized station and document production metrics and equipment status
  • Safety Excellence: Adhere to all PPE requirements and safety protocols to ensure a zero-incident environment

Requirements:

  • Hands-on CNC Operation is required
  • Blueprint Literacy: A proven ability to read and interpret complex industrial blueprints
  • Mechanical Aptitude: High attention to detail and experience with precision measuring instruments
  • Physical Capability: Comfortable standing for full shifts and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Communication: Fluent in English (all manuals and safety instructions are in English)

  • Monitor machine operations and make on-the-fly adjustments to maintain quality and prevent downtime
  • Handle raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper labeling and organization
  • Conduct routine part inspections using measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.) to verify conformity to specifications
  • Identify and report quality issues or machine malfunctions to supervisors or programmers
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning machines, changing bits, and maintaining a safe and organized work area
  • Assist with unloading, staging, and post-processing of cut parts (e.g., sanding, de-tab, edge prepping)
