We are expanding our manufacturing team and looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to take ownership of our production floor. In this role, you will command advanced CNC mills and lathes to transform raw materials into high-quality, precision-engineered components. Job Responsibility
Prioritize Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly adhere to company QHSE standards and protocols
Blueprint Analysis: Interpret technical blueprints, engineering plans, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
CNC Programming: Program mills and lathes by inputting precise instructions, including reference points, offsets, tool registers, and conditional switches
Technical Math: Apply basic math, geometry, and trigonometry to calculate precise machining requirements
Machine Setup: Configure mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks (3-jaw and 4-jaw), tools, collets, attachments, and stock pushers
Material Handling: Load stock into machines safely, using overhead cranes and lifting devices when required
Quality Control: Validate setups by measuring first-run parts and sample workpieces, and deburr finished pieces as needed
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions and troubleshoot process errors in real time
Documentation: Accurately complete daily production sheets, quality forms, and maintenance logs
Equipment Care & Growth: Assist with routine preventative maintenance and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
3+ years of machining experience, including 2–3 years specifically focused on CNC mill and/or lathe setup
Proficient with Fanuc operational systems and Okuma G-Code
Strong expertise in machine tooling
Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, sketches, work orders, and verbal directions
Expert knowledge of inspection tools, including calipers, ID/OD micrometers, height gauges, and thread wires/gauges
Proven ability to troubleshoot machining issues, detect abnormal running conditions, and uphold strict quality standards
Able to stand for long periods and safely lift/move materials weighing 30–50 lbs
Excellent communication skills, a collaborative team mindset, and ownership of steel-toed safety boots
