Requirements

Minimum 2 years CNC Machinist experience
Nakamura experience preferred
Possesses advanced mechanical drawing reading skills and knowledge of GD&T
Understands metrology principles and how to perform inspection on complex parts
Strong computer skills in order to access, store, create, and log data
Light programming skills and ability to read and write macros preferred

Job Responsibility

Set up and operate CNC Nakamura Mill Turn and/or Lathe Machines
Manufacture conforming product through the use and interpretation of part drawings, operation instructions, manufacturing specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Perform in-process inspection using inspection equipment and tools to verify dimensional and surface conformity
Maintain tooling, equipment, and work area to ensure an organized, safe, and clean environment
Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of the machines
Performs part finishing operations using a variety of abrasives, deburring tools and equipment
Collaborate with team members, quality, and engineering departments

Requirements

Strong experience with CNC turning and/or mill-turn machines
Confident using Mazak, Fanuc and/or Siemens controls
Proven ability to program, set and operate CNC machines independently

Job Responsibility

Programming, setting and operating CNC turning and mill-turn machines
Acting as the technical lead within the CNC Turning section
Proving programs and resolving machining issues efficiently
Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and process development
Producing precision components to tight tolerances
Machining materials including aluminium, stainless steel, brass and other alloys
Supporting production planning, job prioritisation and effective shift handovers
Mentoring and supporting less experienced machinists
Driving continuous improvement in tooling, processes and productivity
Liaising with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues
