Are you a skilled CNC Machinist who thrives on complex problem-solving rather than just pushing buttons? We are seeking a permanent, full-time CNC Machinist / Technician to join our leading automotive manufacturing facility in Woodbridge, ON. This is a specialized, high-impact role on our permanent midnight shift where you will move away from repetitive, high-volume production operation and focus heavily on custom troubleshooting, continuous improvement fixes, and prototype proofing. Job Responsibility

  • Perform high-level troubleshooting of CNC machinery
  • Read and interpret existing CNC programs to make adjustments and modifications using Fanuc controls
  • Read and analyze engineering data structures and GD&T
  • Set up machines, touch off tools, and run small prototype batches
  • Fabricate custom parts using manual lathes and standard machinist bench work
  • Collaborate within a team of 2 to 3 technicians on the midnight shift
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related CNC machining experience
  • Strong background working with CNC Lathes
  • Must own and provide basic hand tools
  • Flexibility to work a permanent midnight shift schedule
  • Must provide standard CSA-approved safety shoes

Nice to have

  • Possession of a 429A Machinist License
  • Candidates at the tail end of an apprenticeship program
