Job Description

Our client, a leading global manufacturer supplying the automotive and engineering sectors, is seeking experienced CNC Machine Operatives to join their production team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business offering competitive rates of pay, ongoing training, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position after 13 weeks. As a CNC Machine Operative, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring CNC machinery to produce high-quality products while maintaining production, quality and safety standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required
  • Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and production specifications
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately
  • Perform routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Work as part of a team to achieve production targets

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work
  • Flexibility to work rotating 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm shifts
