Job Description

Morson are recruiting for an experienced CNC Grinder. This is a 6 month contract (initially) working onsite at our aerospace client based in Wolverhampton. Shifts available are Earlies and back shift rotated weekly. You’ll be responsible for the setup, operation, and quality output of cylindrical grinding machines while supporting new equipment and part introductions. This role will suit someone passionate about precision, continuous learning, and delivering exceptional product quality.

Job Responsibility

  • Set and operate both external and internal cylindrical CNC grinders
  • Perform basic program/offset manipulation and use integrated machine probe systems
  • Validate parts using measurement systems and ensure adherence to specifications
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to support development and NPI activities
  • Follow process layouts, work instructions, and comply with quality standards
  • Coordinate First Line Maintenance and TPM as required
  • Support personal and team skill development, while maintaining high safety standards

Requirements

  • Turning or grinding experience
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Nice to have

  • Apprentice trained background
  • Experience with Studer machines
  • Familiarity with measurement systems and integrated probe tools
  • Flexibility to support various duties within the cell based on workload
  • Willingness to work shifts (including Double Days or Night Shift)
