HOURS NEEDED: M-F SCHOOL CASE & SAT/SUN Pay rate is $14.75/hr CareGivers America, a Modivcare Personal Care Service, is looking for an HHA/CNA responsible for providing high-quality services to our home care private duty clients. We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic caregiver to support a young man living with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and cerebral palsy. This role goes beyond basic caregiving — we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building a friendship, encouraging independence, and sharing life experiences together. The ideal caregiver sees this as a partnership: someone who can offer support while also being a buddy, motivator, and positive presence.
Job Responsibility:
Provide attentive, respectful support with daily needs as required
Build a trusting, friendly relationship through conversation, humor, and shared interests
Accompany him to community activities and outings, including: Swimming at a local pool
Recreational activities, hobbies, or events
Light exercise and movement-based activities
Encourage social engagement, confidence, and independence
Ensure safety and comfort during all activities and outings
Communicate openly with family regarding progress, preferences, and any concerns
Requirements:
No experience is needed
We will provide you with paid training
Kind, patient, and emotionally intuitive
Enjoys being active and spending time out in the community
Comfortable supporting someone with physical and cognitive disabilities
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Comfortable assisting with swimming activities (pool experience or willingness to learn is important)
Values connection and friendship, not just caregiving
Is upbeat, encouraging, and adaptable
Can meet someone where they are while helping them explore what they can do
Treats the person they support with dignity, respect, and genuine care
Nice to have:
Experience with TBI, cerebral palsy, or special needs is a plus (but not required for the right person)
