however, proven experience and certifications will be considered in lieu of Associate's degree
Applicant should have experience interpreting architectural drawings identifying building components, and an understanding of all local Air Pollution Control Districts (including, but not limited to South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule 1403). This position requires the appropriate California Certifications and experience performing and overseeing asbestos, lead-based paint, polychlorinated biphenyls, microbiological and hazardous building-material surveys and abatement oversight/monitoring. Experience with other environmental work such as subsurface soil and groundwater investigations is a plus, but is not required. The candidate should have a minimum of ten years' experience performing relevant projects, possess computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word & Excel), have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and flexibility with work schedule. Appropriate certifications include some or all of the following: Certified Asbestos Consultant, Certified Site Surveillance Technician, and Lead Inspector/Assessor/Project Monitor/Sampling Technician (CAC or CSST required and Lead Project Monitor preferred but other lead certifications accepted).
