The Cluster Payroll / Workday Specialist is responsible for managing payroll operations across multiple hotel properties within the cluster, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. The role also supports and maintains the Workday system, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and optimization of payroll processes.

Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payroll
Support and maintain the Workday system
Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and optimization of payroll processes
Process monthly payroll for multiple hotel properties
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies
Manage payroll-related data including salaries, benefits, deductions, and overtime
Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
Liaise with external payroll providers when applicable
Maintain and update employee data within Workday
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR and payroll modules
Support system updates, testing, and implementation of new functionalities
Generate and analyze reports from Workday for payroll, HR, and management needs
Provide technical support and training to users
Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements
Prepare payroll reports, statutory filings, and year-end documentation
Support internal and external audits
Act as a key point of contact for payroll and Workday-related queries
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and department heads across the cluster
Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a payroll/system perspective
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field
Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in hospitality or multi-property environments
Strong knowledge of Workday (Payroll and/or HCM modules)
Understanding of local labor laws and payroll regulations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment
You must possess the legal right to work in Italy
Fluency in English and Italian
Nice to have
Previous experience in a luxury hotel or international hospitality group
Experience managing payroll for multiple entities (cluster role)
Workday certification is a plus
