Our client is a leading global company in the sector of high-temperature industrial solutions and refractory materials. Operating in over 30 countries with thousands of employees worldwide, the company provides mission-critical services to the steel, cement, and energy industries. On behalf of our partner, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional for the position of Cluster Accountant. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the controlling function for a designated group of companies. This position is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory, tax, and audit requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Review and verify monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Working Capital) for accuracy
  • Manage month-end closing processes and analyze variances in revenue, costs, and inventory
  • Collaborate with shared service centers to ensure timely and high-quality data provision
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of aged items
  • Manage audit requirements by reviewing evidence, ensuring completeness, and liaising with auditors
  • Lead the review and finalization of local annual accounts, tax returns, and local audits
  • Review and approve indirect tax returns (e.g., VAT) in line with compliance regulations

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, controlling, or finance within a multinational environment
  • Thorough understanding of P&L management, balance sheet handling, statutory reporting, and tax compliance
  • Experience in managing audits and collaborating with external auditors
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of precision
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with shared service centers
  • Advanced proficiency with complex ERP/accounting systems and Excel
  • Fluent English
