Job Description:

The Club Steward at The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas, using cleaning tools and chemicals, receiving and storing deliveries, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. The role contributes to providing rare luxury service and upholding the Gold Standards of The Ritz-Carlton.

Job Responsibility:

Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and areas
receive, store, and rotate stock
sort and clean silverware
dispose of waste and recyclables
report safety and maintenance issues
adhere to quality standards and company policies
collaborate with team members to achieve common goals.

Requirements:

Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools
wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock
use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals to clean dishes
sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware
clean and mop assigned areas
dispose of glass in proper containers
break down cardboard boxes and recycle
follow all company safety policies and procedures
report maintenance needs, accidents, and unsafe work conditions
develop and maintain positive working relationships
move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Nice to have:

No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
no related work experience.
