Job Description:

The CloudFinOps Specialist role at NTT DATA involves optimizing cloud costs across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in FinOps or cloud cost optimization, with strong skills in Cloudability and analytics. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. This remote position offers a competitive salary range of $78,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze and optimize AWS, GCP, OCI and Azure cloud, infrastructure, and platform costs using FinOps best practices
  • Develop and maintain reporting pipelines, dashboards, and automation for cost monitoring, allocation, and optimization across cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments using our Apptio Cloudability platform
  • Perform advanced analysis on usage, performance, and cost trends to deliver actionable insights and recommendations to customers as well as internal engineering, operations, and finance teams
  • Partner with AWS/Azure engineers to design, implement, and refine solutions that improve cost efficiency, scalability, and system reliability
  • Stay current on FinOps frameworks, cloud economics, infrastructure tooling, and industry best practices to continuously improve NTT DATA’s cost management strategy
  • Own the Cloudability tooling stack, automating reporting to provide clear, actionable insights to all stakeholders
  • Collaborate with our partner teams to build a strong culture of cost awareness and continuous process improvement
  • Provide executive-level summaries on cloud spend and optimization opportunities via Cloudability dashboards and reports

Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen or Green card holder Permanent US Resident
  • Must have 3+ years of experience in a FinOps, or cloud cost optimization focused role
  • Strong understanding of cloud cost and billing data on AWS, GCP and Azure, including detailed usage and cost reporting
  • Must have Cloudability experience

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Certification with the FinOps foundation as a FinOps Certified Practitioner or ability to become certified within 5 months
  • Demonstrated analytics experience, including building dashboards and querying large datasets to derive operational and financial insights
  • Strategic thinker with attention to technical detail
  • Passion for developing reusable frameworks and automation
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach and the ability to balance cost optimization with performance, reliability, and customer commitments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to build dashboards and reports connected to AWS CUR, Azure Cost Management exports, and GCP BigQuery billing tables, including row-level security, scheduled refresh, and cost-trend visualizations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
