The Cloud System Administrator will support production and lower-level AWS environments running Linux, as well as Google Workspace, with future support for Azure environments. This role collaborates closely with Configuration Management, Business Analysts, QA, and developers to ensure secure, stable, and successful solution delivery. The Cloud System Administrator serves as a technical expert for Linux within the DevOps teams and supports incident and problem management for Windows and Google environments. Key responsibilities include partnering with the change management team on backup, patching, and support processes. The Cloud System Administrator is also responsible for analyzing and presenting performance metrics for Linux environments and plays a vital role in tools integration.

Requirements:
Associate’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Seven (7) years of system administration experience in Linux and/or Unix
Five (5) years’ experience working with cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring
At least one relevant cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer)
Five (5) years supporting AWS cloud infrastructure in commercial or government environments
Hands-on experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Route 53, and Certificate Manager
Familiarity with Azure, Google Workspace, and multi-cloud infrastructure management
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
Working knowledge of AWS networking (NAT, NLB, ALB)
Experience editing IAM policies (JSON), managing external certificates, and compliance validation in AWS
Familiarity with Active Directory integration and MFA solutions (e.g., Okta)
Proficiency in shell scripting or languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
Experience configuring sudo scripts
Scripting/automation with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools (preferred)
Design and implement infrastructure as Code using Terraform for provisioning AWS resources
Experience in cloud-based system administration for Linux and Windows environments
Application and infrastructure monitoring, support, and optimization
Proven ability to analyze AWS billing data and recommend cost-saving strategies

Experience with Bitbucket, AWS Code* suite (e.g., CodePipeline, CodeDeploy)
