Within CE&S, Cloud + AI Platforms (CAIP) CSU is one of the most strategic businesses worldwide at Microsoft. Given the tremendous momentum in customer pursuit of Digital Transformation, there’s never been a more exciting & compelling time to be a part of the Cloud + AI Platform business at Microsoft! We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect who is passionate to develop high-quality, repeatable IP offerings for Azure Platform and Quality priorities that are broadly used by internal Microsoft delivery resources. Areas include but are not limited to CAF/WAF, Resiliency, Monitor, Capacity, Service Availability, Outage Impact and Strategic Growth Shaping. Collaborate with the Unified pillar team to own the landing and adoption of these offerings with the field. Drive skilling strategy and content for the solution play and pillar. Collaborate with Chief Architect Office team and act as an extension to scale learning from Quality Critical Customers to rest of Cloud+AI customers. Unblock and accelerate field pipeline and escalated requests to Corp, including solving for engagement blocking technical feedback within SLA. Execute field readiness programs and influence product roadmap based on Voice of Customer/Field gathered from CSU teams, customers, and partners. Enable core priorities for the Secure Migrate & Modernize solution area by developing and landing execution guidance for field teams. Develop and validate how-to-execute guidance for relevant offerings in the Cloud Adoption Factory and support enablement of Factory delivery teams. Serve as technical SME and thought leader on delivery topics for the solution play and pillar, including best practices and architecture patterns. Deliver Unified offerings hands-on based on dispatch (for Innovation workloads) and customer engagement as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Develop strategy and IP to solve critical CAIP platform and quality excellence initiative priorities to improve platform and customer health across all Azure customers.
Build trusted relationships with many stakeholders across CE&S org and business leaders to shape cloud and AI strategies, acting as a technical advisor and champion for long-term success.
Drive operational excellence by owning field enablement, resolving blockers, and ensuring alignment with customer health plans and Azure consumption goals.
Guide field teams for platform and customer health, delivering repeatable IP and contributing to Factory and Unified delivery engines.
Develop high-quality, repeatable IP offerings that can be delivered by various Microsoft teams and partners.
Coach field teams on value-based delivery (VBD), and continuously improve delivery guides.
Lead enablement efforts, champs programs and collaborate with Worldwide Learning (WWL) to develop and publish learning content.
Unblock and accelerate field pipeline and escalated requests to Corp, including solving for blockers.
Deliver Unified offerings with direct customer engagement for new VBDs as needed.
Capture and share customer feedback to influence Microsoft’s product roadmap and represent the Voice of the Customer in Engineering forums.
Inspire AI adoption by sharing best practices, leading with Microsoft’s AI story, and helping customers innovate with confidence at scale.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 2+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
2+ years experience working on technical projects.
Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well Architected Framework (WAF). Deep expertise in understanding Cloud Fundamentals.
