Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is transforming hybrid IT through the Cloud Ops Suite — an integrated platform combining: HPE Morpheus VM Essentials for virtualization and private-cloud management (VMware and HVM), HPE Morpheus Enterprise for hybrid-cloud automation and self-service orchestration, and HPE OpsRamp for AIOps-driven monitoring and observability. As a Cloud Ops Suite Engineer, you will serve as a hands-on technical expert supporting mid-market customers and channel partners. You will deliver enablement sessions, assist and train partners with proof-of-concepts, and assist partners in positioning and deploying HPE's Cloud Ops Suite solutions. This is a field-oriented, high-impact role for a technologist who thrives in dynamic, fast-moving environments and enjoys combining technical depth with real-world execution.
Job Responsibility
Lead discovery sessions to map customer needs, policies, and multi-cloud strategies to Morpheus Enterprise capabilities
Deliver technical presentations, live demos, and architecture reviews that highlight automation, cost-saving, and self-service benefits
Partner with HPE sales, account executives, and product managers to position Morpheus Enterprise in winning deals
Develop solution-level proposals, ROI/business-case models, and answer RFP/RFI questions
Provide feedback from the field to product teams to shape roadmap and improve enablement content
Work closely with the Morpheus sales specialist to qualify leads and ensure a strong pipeline of potential customers
Collaborate and provide feedback on best-practices, playbooks, and success-story collateral
Contribute to internal field readiness forums and share lessons learned across the customer ecosystem
Stay current on hybrid-cloud trends, competing platforms, and emerging automation tools
Work closely with HPE presales, engineering, and professional services to ensure seamless solution hand-off
Participate in cross-functional projects that enhance training, tooling, and partner programs
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field recommended
10-15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, or hybrid-cloud automation, preferably in a technical-selling or enablement role
Strong hands-on experience with public and/or private cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, or enterprise private cloud platforms)
Experience with cloud automation and Infrastructure-as-Code, such as: Terraform
Ansible
PowerShell / Bash
REST API integration
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, or DevOps toolchains is highly desirable
Hands-on exposure to HPE Morpheus Enterprise (preferred) or comparable orchestration platforms (e.g., VMware Aria/vRA, Nutanix Calm, CloudBolt)
Practical experience with at least one major virtualization or cloud compute platform (VMware ESXi, KVM/HVM, Hyper-V, or cloud-native compute)
Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, with working knowledge of networking and storage fundamentals
Development or scripting background is a strong plus, particularly in Python, PowerShell, or API-driven automation
Awareness of the competitive CMP/cloud automation landscape (VMware, Nutanix, CloudBolt, etc.) preferred
Preferred hands-on experience with Morpheus Enterprise (or comparable orchestration platforms) and at least one major hypervisor (VMware ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V)
Familiarity with HPE's hybrid-cloud and cloud management portfolio is advantageous
