Job Description:

You will sit within the Cloud procurement unit focussing on the procurement of all vendor cloud programmes for our customers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Self-management of workload and time scales is imperative to ensure vendor targets are met by prioritising and placing orders on time
  • Processing high value, high impact orders using comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft, AWS and Google procurement programmes with a thorough understanding of complex order processes
  • Supporting Cloud Operations management with programme/product/price changes
  • Instructing internal vendor specialists on operational processes at a high level to expedite urgent orders, to fix customer processing errors, select product combinations and meet contractual responsibilities
  • Pro- actively manage any risks to the business linked to cloud procurement
  • Working autonomously and making decisions for the best possible outcomes, even in the absence of management or account managers
  • Supporting cloud operations management with cloud billing processes and reporting

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement/operational roles
  • Familiarity with the operations of how cloud programmes are transacted & billed
  • Familiarity of what the AWS/Azure/Google Marketplaces are and why customers would utilise them
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • able to work independently and in teams
  • Ability to multitask, set own deadlines, prioritise, and deliver against them
  • Technically proficient, quick to absorb new information, and committed to continuous personal development
