Job Description:

We are the IT provider of the Allianz Group who operates, optimizes, transforms, and innovates applications and services to create the best customer experience. Our IT team works cross-functionally to support advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and business intelligence solutions. There is a particular focus on cloud infrastructure and scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant technical services in line with our DevOps philosophy. The role entails supporting AI solutions and platforms, maintaining system performance, and enabling application teams through automated processes.

Job Responsibility:

Collect, analyze, and verify functional and technical requirements for technical implementation, translating them into technical software/platform design while ensuring fulfillment of non-functional requirements like performance and IT security
Consult on analysis and evaluation of technical requirements for benefits and risks, and develop and design services or products in the AI realm, either on a use case or platform level
Maintain and optimize relevant systems, ensuring performance, availability, version, and patch management, while configuring and supporting data engineering and data science applications in the Future Cloud Platform
Provide assistance to data scientists and data engineers within Allianz Group on usage, setup, and error handling, and write technical documentation applying best practices
Develop and maintain automated processes on the AI Platform to enable application teams, designing efficient and scalable operating concepts and processes with the team
Assume responsibility for continuous improvement of secure, high-performance, automated, stable, and trouble-free system operation, including preparation of test scenarios
Engage in design and maintenance activities to ensure optimal system functionality and user experience, supporting the overall strategic goals of the organization.

Requirements:

Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience, with several years of practical experience in operational tasks and development using runtime/container environments and version control systems like Git
Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud architectures focused on IT security, automation, and AI capabilities, with strong knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and management, and expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
Broad knowledge of AWS products, including Sagemaker/Bedrock for machine learning and AI application development, and ideally data pipelines using services like Kafka and AWS Glue
knowledge of infrastructure from other cloud provider platforms is required if AWS knowledge is lacking
Experience in developing AI business applications and implementing and managing Jenkins for workflow automation and CI/CD processes, with advanced knowledge of Docker for containerization
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace and Grafana, and ideally skills in automation and configuration management tools like Ansible, along with proficiency in Linux server operating systems and shell scripting
Experience with database systems such as Oracle, PostgreSQL (Aurora), and Snowflake, agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and tools like Confluence and Jira, with business-fluent English communication skills
German is welcome
Ability to manage tasks in demanding and unfamiliar situations with strong problem-solving skills, efficiently cooperate with clients and departments, and support team members, demonstrating strong team and communication skills, goal-oriented and independent working style, high quality awareness, and customer orientation.

Skills in automation and configuration management tools like Ansible
